Jean-Marc Lachaud , born in 1956 is a theorist of art and Philosophe French.

Doctor of philosophy and doctor d' arts État and social sciences, he is professor of Esthétique to the Université Paul Verlaine of Metz. He is also researcher within the laboratory of esthetics theoretical and applied to Université Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne.

Jean-Marc Lachaud published many books and articles on the esthetic theories and the artistic practices of the XXe century and directed several collective works. He is member of the editorial board of Actuel Marx , he collaborates regularly in various publications ( Corps , Mouvement , Figures of art , Recherches in Esthetics …).
