Jean-Marc Berlière

Jean-Marc Berlière is a historian, specialist in the history of the police forces in France and professor with the Université of Burgundy.

Incorporated history, he taught in the secondary (Fort-de-France, Amilly, Montargis, etc) He supported in 1991 a thesis of bearing doctorate on the police Institution and the company under IIIe République (1870-1914) . Teaching with IEP of Grenoble, then with the university of Burgundy, its last research, always based on the exhaustive examination of multiple files - of which those of the police force -, are centered over the period of the Occupation and the Guerre of Algeria.

In 2007, Jean-Marc Berlière is professor of modern history at the university of Burgundy (IUT of Dijon, department information communication-Trades of the book and the inheritance) and researcher with CESDIP (CNRS/Ministère of Justice).

Jean-Marc Berlière also took part in the realization of certain numbers of documentary histories for television.
