Jean-Luc Bennahmias
Jean-Luc Bennahmias , born with Paris the December 2nd 1954, is a journalist and Politician French.
Biography
He obtains a technical-commercial BTS in 1976 and a diploma of university of formation for adults-Dufa in 1984.He is journalist with Antirouille , the Gueule open and Tumulte of 1975 to 1980, then in Paris - Villages , Télé 7 days , the Life and the Event of Thursday of 1980 to 1990, finally with Green-Europe of 1990 with 1994. He intervenes in the emission " Europe sports" on Europe 1 in 2002.
It is also part-time lecturer in communication to the Université of Paris VII and to Paris VIII of 1988 with 1996.
Founder of the Green , it supports the first current which demende the possibility of alliance with the left, Verts plural, with Dominique Voynet, which ends up putting in minority the line " nor-left-nor droite" of Antoine Waechter, then the arrival of No5el Mamère in his party negotiates.
National secretary of the Greens of 1997 with 2001, he is also coordinator of the National committee of vigilance against the extreme line since 1998, and member of the Economic and Social Council of 1999 with 2004.
This francilien, readjusted eligible places with the European elections of 1999, is candidate of last minute in Marseilles vis-a-vis Renaud Muselier (RPR), where it obtains 19%. It is finally European Député since June 13rd, 2004 in the European Parliament (list Ecology, the European Green Green-Party), after being elected regional adviser of Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure.
Disappointed lack of political space for Dominique Voynet at the time of the presidential election of 2007, it invites it to yield its place to Nicolas Hulot. After the poll, he announces his departure for the democratic Mouvement of Francois Bayrou. The former national secretary of the Greens, and appointed European Jean-Luc Bennahmias announced on May 9th, 2007, his intention to adhere to the democratic Movement. He justifies this decision by the score of the candidate of the Greens to the first turn of the presidential election of 2007 which “brings back party behind thirty years”. He adds more “to accept the structure of the party”. He sees in the creation of the democratic Movement “the breaking of the blocks and a way of doing of the policy differently, on the basis of compromise and of a company reformist”. It is the result of a political evolution which had led it radicality ecologist to the centrism, it had already at the Days of summer of the Greens of Coutances in 2006 published a platform in Libération where it deamndait that the Greens align their program on the opinions of their electorate which it defined as centrist.
Faithful nevertheless to its friendships passed, it will give its support for Yves Cochet (Green), Martine Billard (Greens) and Pierre Castagnou (P.S.) against the candidates of UMP for the second turn of the legislative election of 2007. It also continues to sit within the group of the Greens in the European Parliament.
