Jean-Louis Trudel

Jean-Louis Trudel is a Canadian writer of Science-fiction born with Toronto in 1967.

Biography

Born in 1967, Jean-Louis Trudel is graduate in Physique, Astronomie, and Histoire and Philosophie of sciences. Since 1994, it signed 27 pounds, including two science-fiction novels and twenty-five books for young people. It also cosigné of the accounts with Yves Meynard under the name of feather Laurent McAllister. The majority of its works are current Hard science.

In collaboration with Paula Johansson, it joined together an anthology of news, Tesseracts 7 , for the editor Canadian-English Tesseract Books in 1999. Its French news is appeared in Imagine… and Solaris , and in other reviews or collectives, with the Canada as in Europe. Its English news is appeared in Canadian anthologies and étatsunienne, like in reviews like ONE SPEC and Prairie Fire .

It obtained the Grand Prix of the science fiction and the fantastic inhabitant of Quebec in 2001, a Boreal Prix in 1999 and several Prix Aurora. He also devotes himself to the translation and literary criticism. He moreover was vice-president then president of the Association of the Canadian writers of Science fiction. He organized several times the Boreal Congrès, an annual gathering of the creators and French-speaking amateurs of science fiction or fantastic in Canada which gives the Boreal Prix. Currently, Jean-Louis Trudel teaches the history at the University of Ottawa.
