Jean-Louis Grinda

Jean-Louis Grinda was born with Monaco in 1960. He was managing director of the Royal Opéra of Wallonia to Liege since August 1996. He is since June 2007 today the head of the Opera of Monte Carlo.

He is the son of Guy Grenda (Monaco 1923 - Liege 2005), Baryton become director of the Operas of Rheims and Toulon and responsible for the programming to the Opera of Monte Carlo.

Jean-Louis Grinda carried the level of the regional opera to highest; one him must have in particular persuaded Jose van Dam to sing the role titrates in a new version of the Man of Mancha played in 1998 and 1999.

Career

  • 1982 : artistic secretary of the Festival of Avignon
  • 1982-1984: artistic secretary of the Choregies d'Orange
  • 1985: director-assistant of the Large Theater of Rheims in September, then directing in 1986
  • 1996: director of the Royal Opera from Wallonia in Liege.

In addition to its directorial functions, it ensured of many settings in scene:

  • 1999: French adaptation and setting in scene of Singin' in the Rain . To the poster of the Theater of the Door Saint Martin's day in Paris for four months, this production is devoted, in 2001, Molière of the best musical production
  • 2000: Titanic in Liege
  • May 2003, it starts the setting in scene of the Tétralogie of Wagner, with a recovery in 2005.
