Jean-Louis Gagnaire is a Politician French, born the April 29th 1956 with Saint-Etienne (the Loire).

Professional path

Cash clerk of a department store, then managing family SME, it integrates state education as supervisor of externat, teacher, detached teacher of ENA, part-time lecturer at the university, then, finally, Principal adviser of Education in ZEP.

He is also cofounder of MJC, “House for All” of Saint-Bonnet-the-Castle

University formation

After a formation at the Institute of higher learning of Commercial Management (formation senior officer), studies in Sciences of Education (certificates of Control) it obtains license of public administration at the Institute of political studies (IEP) of Lyon then is integrated into the preparatory cycle at the entry of the Teacher training school of administration (ENA].

Political commitment

Member of the Socialist party since 1982, it is defined itself as a former “jospinist of the first hour”, before becoming in favor of Ségolène Royal. Federal secretary in charge of the elections of the PS of the Loire of 1991 with 2003, he becomes member of the National Commission of the conflicts of the Socialist party between 2003 and 2005

Electoral mandates

Member of the General advice of the Loire and regional adviser of the Rhone-Alps since 1998, it was reappointed in these two term of office in 2004, by carrying out the departmental list for the poll of regional in 2004 on behalf of the Socialist party. He became vice-president of the District council on this occasion. He resigned of his mandate of General adviser on July 27th, 2007 to put itself in conformity with the law on the office plurality of the mandates.

He is elected appointed the June 17th 2007, for the XIII {{E}} legislature (2007 - 2012), in the 2 {{E}} district of the Loire by beating, with the second round, the outgoing deputy Christian Cabal (UMP) with 53,99% of the votes. He belongs to the group Socialiste, radical and citizen. He is Member of the Commission of the economic affairs of the National Assembly.
