Jean-Louis Florentz (* Asnières-sur-Seine, on December 19th 1947 - † Paris, on July 4th 2004) is a Compositeur French.

Biography

Raise Pierre Schaeffer and from Olivier Messiaen, it obtains, in 1978, the Price of composition Lili Boulanger, followed various prices of SACEM and Institute of France. Its ceaseless voyages in Africa enable him to study the Ethnomusicologie and the Linguistique. He was a friend of Olivier Latry, organist of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris.

Its music has a strong evocative, plentiful capacity, luxuriant, by keeping a very French clearness; its work is placed in the mobility of Henri Dutilleux.

He died of cancer in 2004.
