Jean-Joseph Mouret is a French musician born with Avignon the April 16th 1682 and died in Charenton the December 22nd 1738.
Its life
It was wire of a merchant of Soie which made him give a good education and, noting its early gifts for the music, supported this choice. He sang with talent, started to compose with success and, towards the twenty-five years age, was established with Paris. He was not long in making known himself and managed to come into contact in 1708 with Anne-Louise Bénédicte of Bourbon-Cop, duchess of the Maine, helped in that by his pleasant character. Its career started under these favorable auspices and he became Surintendant of the music at the court of Sceaux.He Maria and had an only daughter. He collaborated in the royal Académie of Music like to the Commedia dell'Arte, then became director of the Concert of sacred music, which got ease to him. However, the end of its life was obscured by vexations, it was reached by the forfeiture and the madness. It poorly finishes its life in a religious old people's home with Charenton.

He also wrote airs, entertainments, cantatilles, instrumental music (sonatas, brass bands and Motet S).
It is necessary to retain, inter alia compositions, the two continuations of symphonies. The first is entitled Fanfares for trumpets, drinking cups, violins and oboe and is dedicated to the son of the Duchesse of Maine, the prince of the Dombes; she was carried out with the Concert of sacred music whose Jean-Joseph Mouret was director. The second for violins, oboe and hunting horns was carried out with the Town hall of Paris in the presence of the king Louis XV.
