Jean-Jacques Morvan

Jean-Jacques Morvan is a painter, sculptor, engraver, writer of Breton origin, born in Paris on January 7th, 1928 and deceased on September 4th, 2005. Artist with the multiple talents, he is also actor, journalist, critic and composer-songwriter. Chevalier of the Legion of Honor. Official painter of the Navy. Member of the jury of the Edouard Prices and Tristan Corbière in Morlaix.

In 1944, member of a rescue squad, it is pilot credit of the combat of the Libération of Paris. The following year, it takes part in the assistance and the escort of the deportees on their return of the camps; it is then subjected to impressions which will not leave it any more.

1992 " Homage to Persian Saint-John " with Saint-John the Persian Foundation with Aix-en-Provence.

1993 " Of Freedom in Liberté" : for more than 30 years he has worked on the topics of violence and intolerance. 46 works will be presented to Brive and creation in front of the public with Jacky Craissac and its percussions, then with the Museum from the Art schools in Bordeaux with animations and the schools. Exposure to the Library of Brest then to the Media library of Nantes on the topic of the Fables of the Fountain. This international exhibition will move in Castle-Thierry, in Canada, Bénin, Syria, Jordan, etc… during two years. Monument with Jean Moulin with Orgon (bronzes and marble).

1994 devotes itself in an important way to the writing. Exposure organized by S.N.C.F. in its buildings Gallery of the Station of the East. Exposure Gallery 42 to Mougins. Again, stay in Greece: Hydra and Athens.

1995 Discover and work in Chausey. Official exposure of the whole of its work on " Harms & Brouillard" from Bordeaux to Paris for the fiftieth anniversary of the release of the Camps. Exposure to Lebanon, and in Syria. Exposure to Paris at Erik Schaix.

1996 For a few years have taken part in many exposures with the Painters of the Navy. Travel on board Latouche-Treville to the Atlantic. Take part in Brest 96. Exposure to the Media library of Nantes on the topic " Small Prince".

1997 40 years Retrospective of posters to the Museum of l´affiche with Locronan from April 3rd to June 15th. Erik Schaix in Paris from June 4th to 25th, Palmyre topic, Hydra, Breton coasts. Anet, from June 7th to 10th, " Landscapes from here and d'ailleurs". FNAC of Nantes from June 16th to 23rd and Media library of Nantes, from June 24th to August 30th " Sky of Sable" with Andre Villers and Michel Bittern.
