Jean-Jacques Lagrenée

Jean-Jacques Lagrenée , known as the Young person , born the September 18th 1739 with Paris where he died the February 13rd 1821, is a painter of history, Dessin ator and engraver French.
Raise of his/her older brother Louis, Lagrenée remained with him in Russia of 1760 with 1762, then with the Académie of Rome of 1763 with 1768.
Approved by the royal Academy in 1769, it regularly exposes to the Art gallery of 1771 and 1804. The June 30th 1775, it is received with the Academy with the Plafond of the Winter of the Gallery of Apollo to the Louvre. In 1776, it is named assistant of professor and, in 1781, titular professor.
Lagrenée reproduced very skilfully on the fabric, wood, glass and the marble of paintings of the thermal baths and the Etruscan vases and the arabesques.
Attached during some time to the manufacture of Sevres, its drawings produced a happy revolution in the forms and the ornaments of vases of this manufacture.
