The business VOMITS
The Affaire VOMITS begins in May 1993. This Thursday, May 19, OM moves with GOES at the time of the 32ème day of championship. The OM must imperatively gain this match, to conquer the championship of France. He plays then, three days later, the final of the league of the champions, against the Milan AC. Of dimensioned sound, Valencians is almost assured to go down in D2 at the end of the season. Bernard Tapie, then president of the club phocéeen, request with Jean-Jacques Eydelie to contact three Valenciennois players, whom he knows, since they played in the same clubs as him. These players would touch a large financial sum on behalf of the Marseilles club and would play voluntarily a little less better during the match, to allow their adversaries to carry it.
The players of the northerner club concerned with arrangement, name Christophe Robert, Jorge Burruchaga, and Jacques Glassman, but this last refuses this attempt at corruption, and reveals it with the leaders of the Valenciennois club. An investigation thus is opened by justice a few days later.
