Jean-Jacques Delusse

Jean-Jacques Delusse is a Dessinateur and painter French born in Paris the March 14th 1758, died with Saintes the November 28th 1833. Its claim to fame was to have been the professor of the Sculpteur David of Angers. Professor of Saintes drawing of 1797 to 1804, it will be preserving thereafter Museum of the town of Angers as from 1804, parallel to this task it will be still professor of drawing with Angers, but will be laid off in 1829. He will finish his days in Saintes misery.

In 1988 the London merchant of tables Sims Reed discovers a whole of 75 washings of Delusse, evoking the history of the marine of the Loire.

This continuation of drawings will be judiciously bought, on sale public with Paris, by the museum of the Navy of the Loire of the Châteauneuf-on-Loire and exposed in 1991 by this institution.

In 1998-1999 these washing (more various works), were presented to the museum of the Navy of the Loire, then in 1999, in Angers with the Museum Pinch and the Gallery David of Angers, a catalog was published in this occasion:
