Jean-Jacques Annaud

Jean-Jacques Annaud , born on October 1st, 1943 with, according to the sources, Juvisy-sur-Orge (the Essonne) or Draveil (the Essonne), (France), is a Réalisateur French.

Biography

After having followed the teaching of the School Louis-Light, then of IDHEC, it makes its weapons by carrying out advertizing films. It obtains the Oscar of the best foreign film in 1976 for its first film, the Victoire by singing . Jean-Jacques Annaud is then solicited to carry out Coup of head writes by Francis Veber and interpreted by Patrick Dewaere.

He then attacks expensive and ambitious projects such as the War of fire (1981) or even the Bear (1988) and shows a know-how of solid technician when he adapts the Name of the pink of Umberto Eco in 1986 or the Lover of Marguerite Duras in 1992.

Annaud, although suffering too often from a bad press, is however famous to be perfectionist and a technician except par, attempting to supervise itself each stage of the manufacture of its films (and of their bearing on DVD).

November 21st, 2007, he is elected with the Académie of the fine arts to the armchair of Gerard Oury.
