Jean-Jacques Aillagon , born the October 2nd 1946 with Metz, is a senior official and Politician French. He was Ministre for the Culture and the Communication of 2002 with 2004. He has been considered, for his “years corréziennes”, like a “close relation” of Jacques and Bernadette Chirac. Named by Nicolas Sarkozy, Presidential decree of the Republic, he is since June 6th, 2007 president of the Public corporation of the museum and the national field of Versailles (Official journal n°01310 of the 6/7/2007)
Control of modern history
The most notable realization of Jean-Jacques Aillagon, Minister for the culture and Transport, is undoubtedly the Loi on the patronage which he manages to make adopt, which equips France with one of the most favorable modes in this field. The law, authorizing tax deductions going up to 90%, in particular makes it possible to solve the problem of the acquisition of the goods which, declared “national treasures”, must be preserved in France.
Jean-Jacques Aillagon follows a policy aiming at supporting the autonomy of the public corporations concerned with its ministry. Orsay and the Guimet Museum is set up in autonomous public corporations, and their independence, just like that of Louvre and Versailles, is consolidated opposite in particular Meeting of the national museums and direction of the museums of France.
Jean-Jacques Aillagon endeavors to overcome the reserves of its ministry with respect to decentralization: it accepts the decentralization of the service of the inventory, and charges a commission chaired by Rene Rémond to prepare the transfer to the territorial collectivities, on the basis of voluntariate, of monuments belonging to the State but which do not appear to justify only the continuous Nation as a community to hold them.
In the field of the communication, it calls into question the projects of France Televisions on the numerical terrestrial one, inviting the public group to look further into the public service missions of the existing chains. The report/ratio ordered with Catherine Clément on the culture on television (the night and the summer) does not receive however really a concrete application, while that of Blandine Kriegel on violence on television causes the polemic.
Jean-Jacques Aillagon is also the craftsman of the law of July 9th, 2004 relating to the electronic communications and the departments of communication audio-visual, which gives in particular a legal framework to the revival of local televisions.
It negotiates with the Commission of Brussels a limited and gradual opening of the publicity televised for the distribution and a complete opening of the publicity televised for the press, putting an end to a dispute which had lasted for several years.
It also files in the project of Loi DADVSI on the royalties.
The renegotiation of appendices VIII and X of the convention of UNEDIC, relating to the mode of the Contract workers, that the government agrees to approve and that Jean-Jacques Aillagon endorses without states of heart, causes however violent one movement. Taken with part at the time of the ceremony of Césars, the minister does not see coming the movement from intermittent and cancellation without precedent of the festivals at the summer 2003. The days of the minister are consequently counted. He is replaced, in April 2004, by Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres.
2004 : Regional adviser of Lorraine.
Jean-Jacques Aillagon obtained the installation of the Center Pompidou - Metz in the capital of Lorraine in order to prepare a possible candidature for the town hall of the city.
