Jean-Henri d\' Anglebert

Jean-Henri d' Anglebert (or Danglebert ) is a Musicien French (Clavecin ist and type-setter) born with Bar-le-Duc on April 1st 1629, died with Paris the April 23rd 1691.

Wire of an easy tradesman of Bar-le-Duc, he marries Madeleine Champagne, sister-in-law of the goldsmith and organist ( sic ) François Roberday. Disciple of Jacques Champion of Chambonnières it succeeds to him in 1663 or 1664, after his disgrace, like ordinary of the chamber music of the king for the harpsichord. This load will be then transmitted to his/her son Jean-Baptist-Henri d' Anglebert, by the system of the “survival” which privileges chalk-lining on the talent and will thus deprive, later, François Couperin to obtain this position which it would have deserved.

It publishes in 1689 its single book of Clavecin, work in which it adds, with the continuations of dances of its composition, of the transcriptions of works of Jean-Baptiste Lully of which it is friendly. It there assistant still some Running away S for Organ on a single topic which it composed in its youth.

This book is in France the first printed work which comprises a table of the ornaments indicating the manner of carrying out them.
