Jean-Henri Roger is a French scenario writer, born in a middle-class and intellectual family and parents Communist militants.

Beginnings

After a schooling with Marseilles, Jean-Henri Roger joined Paris. It there studies the Maoïsme like others the Trotskysme and integrates the Cause of the people. After various missions, he works within the group Marxiste “Dziga Vertov” in 1969 and carries out documentary experimental and political ones with Jean-Luc Godard (Pravda; British Sounds, 1969).

The realizer joins the actress Juliet Berto, the heroin of a whole generation. They will have an love affair animated between the cinema, the illusions political, the sexual revolution and alcohol, drug. Its first two feature-length films of fiction are Neige (1981) and Cape Canaille (1982). It does not sign its third feature-length film, Lulu , that in 2001.
