Jean-Henri Dollfus wire

Jean-Henri Dollfus (Mulhouse, September 28th 1755 - December 9th 1825) was a French politician.

Great-grandson of the scientist bâlois Jean Bernoulli and wire of Jean-Henri Dollfus father (cofounder in 1746 of the first Indian manufacture of of Mulhouse), Jean-Henri Dollfus was named mayor of Mulhouse on April 26th 1821 because of his loyalty with regard to the Bourbons, rather rare political attitude with the center the Mulhousian, primarily Protestant leading class and libérale.
Succédant with the brilliance liberal leader Jean-Jacques Koechlin, it was a not very effective municipal official and more worried by the financing of his entertainment expenses, leaving the administration of his city in a rather disordered state. He was even marked misappropriations and had to be replaced with the head of the municipality, before being finally discharged by bases of Haut-Rhin.

One of its nephews, Andre Koechlin, was mayor of Mulhouse between 1830 and 1843.
