Jean-François Rivest
Jean-François Rivest is a Violoniste and a Leader Québécois. He is the chief in residence of the Symphony orchestra of Montreal.
Biography
Rivest teaches the violin with the Université of Montreal and gives courses at the doctoral level with the leaders. He was member of the Symphony orchestra of Montreal. In 2003, it plays in thirty concerts.Rivest in particular recorded the 23e concerto for piano of Mozart with Alain Lefèvre. Chambriste and Soloist, it also played with David Breitman. One of its preferred type-setters is Chostakovitch, and he particularly likes his Eleventh Symphony .
In May 2006, it definitively leaves the Symphony orchestra of Laval to join the OSM.
