Jean-François Ribald

Jean-François Paillard is a Leader French born the April 12th 1928 with Vitry-le-François.

Biography

It received its musical formation with the Conservatoire of Paris and the Mozarteum of Salzburg.

It founded, in 1953, the instrumental Unit Jean-Marie Leclair (inspired of the name of this type-setter), which became, in 1959, the Chamber orchestra Jean-François Paillard. It made many recordings of the repertory baroque and carried out rounds in Europe, in the United States and Japan. He in addition lengthily collaborated with the largest French instrumentalists of his time, in particular Maurice André, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Gerard Jarry, Lily Laskine, Pierre Pierlot

Jean-François Paillard was also invited to direct various orchestras. He in addition published the series Archives of the Instrumental music and published the traditional French music in 1960.

Discography

Its discographic activity, partly related to the French firm Erato was impressive: more than 300 recordings rewarded by a still unequalled prize list to date for 29 Grands Prix for the disc.
