Sporting career

Formed by the Master Augustin Parent, Jean-François Lamour will dominate the French saber, in a crushing way, until the arrival of the sabreurs tarbais, the Damien brothers and Gaël Touya.

Then it is with the nomination in France of the Hungarian Fencing master, Lazlo Szepezi, as national trainer with the saber in 1982, that Jean-François Lamour gradually appeared with the international plan to reach the dedication to the Olympic Games of Los Angeles and those of Seoul where it goes up on the first walk of the podium to the individual tests. Its spectacular progression cannot be allotted to the only talent (undeniable) of Szepezi Master, but also to the exceptional courage and eagerness whose Jean-François Lamour made proof at the time of his drives to INSEP, and to its indisputable talents of fencer.

Political mandates

Member of the UMP

For the legislative elections of June 2007, Jean François Lamour is invested " candidate officiel" by UMP in the 13th district of Paris (Rene Galy-Dejean (mayor of XVeme district and Dominique Beaud (assistant of the mayor of XVeme district) also presented himself under the label " présidentielle" majority; , but had not received the nomination of UMP).

He is elected appointed (with 56,74% of the votes) at the time of the second round of the legislative election which opposed it to Anne Hidalgo (PS).

Political action

He contributed has to prohibit disciplines " violentes" like the free-fight as well as the diffusion of emissions of K-1 and pride on the French chains, Eurosport in particular. Its argument is that these sports defend violence and are a bad example for youth. But the practitioners reproach him an action liberticide especially insofar as these sports engage only those which practice them and in an absolutely voluntary way. The practitioners reproach him also the nonsense of this decree since a gap in the law authorizes the creation of sporting clubs: the engagements thus take place now in a clandestine way and no statutory audit can be assured more (medical controls, test of doping, test encephalic and HIV…).
