Jean-François Chabrun , born the June 22nd 1920 with Mayenne, died in 1997 with Towards-Bridge-of-Gard, was poet, journalist, writer and critical of Article.

Jean-François Chabrun is the son of César Chabrun, politician, and of Marthe Audibert. Secondary studies with the College Henri IV with Paris and higher than Rennes and with the Sorbonne (arts degree). High-school pupil, it publishes his first texts in 1938 in with the review néo-hobby-horse the Reverberators rested by Jean Marembertet Michel Tapié, in which collaborate No5el Arnaud, Jacques Bureau, Jean-Claude Diamond-Shepherd, Pierre Mine, Nadine Lefébure, Marc Patin, Gerard de Sède… as of the first number. After a stay in Germany, it publishes in review NO3 of November 1938 an article ignited on Degenerated Art: Entartete Kunst, denounces oppression Nazi and joined with Jean-Claude Diamant André Breton Shepherd within the F I HAS R I: International federation for an Independent Revolutionary art) Student in Rennes, it is imprisoned in 1940 for plot against safety external of the State. Are at the same time in the same prison: Benjamin Péret Beno Stenberg, and Léo Malet . On the one hand it reconstitutes in occupied France, with some friends (Jean Claude Diamant- Shepherd, Gerard de Sède, Marc Patin and Robert Rius (auquels are added to the wire of time No5el Arnaud, Christian Dotremont Henri Goetz, Christine Boumester… the old surrealist group under the name of " The Hand has Plume" , anonymous collective publication, (for the first number) illustrated which appears in May 1941 of which it signs the majority of the leading articles. In addition it takes part during four years in the activities of principal résaux of Resistance. Member of the Parisian Committee of the Release, it is named by the General de Gaulle General adviser of the Seine and city council man of Paris (it is twenty four years old) Disappointed by the side careerist (politicarde) of old he resigns and becomes during two years the first collaborator of Louis Aragon. After having broken with the Communist party in general and Aragon in particular, becomes (on the councils of mutual friends) inspector of bank of an official semi organization of credit. Experiment enriching but leaving him more time to be devoted to Poetry. Rachette celebrates it libriarie: The House Of the Friends Of the Books of Adrienne Monnier with which it kept friendly relations. To earn its living it practices the Art critic and journalism in various press agencies: (the Express train, the New Ingenuous one, Paris Match, Ésope, Tele 7 days, Arts magazine, etc…). He is also poet and essay writer.

He had a son, Christophe, of his first wife, Noémie Hany Lefebvre. His second wife, Elisabeth Raufast (sister of Régine Raufast), was doctor and writer. His last wife is Michelle Gasq.
