Jean-François Bizot

Jean-François Bizot , born the August 19th 1944 with Paris and dead the September 8th 2007 with Paris, is a man of press, of literature, radio and of cinema French.

Biography

The last of the five children of Ennemond Bizot (1900 - 1988) and of Marguerite Waistcoat (1904 - 1986), which had married in 1925, it is resulting from the Lyons catholic upper middle classes. One of his/her uncles, Henri Bizot, was one of the founders of Christian Témoignage .
Il is educated by the Jesuits of Versailles. Jean-François Bizot studied with the National school Higher of chemical industries of Nancy (Promotion 1972). He is an economic time engineer at the Office of information and forecasts then journalist with the Express train of 1967 with 1970.
Politically, it follows a time the Maoists then the Socialist party unified, but quickly chooses the way Libertaire of which it will not deviate.

In May 1970, Jean-François Bizot launches the magazine Actuel , first body of “ Free Close ” with the Frenchwoman with Michel-Antoine Burnier, Patrick Rambaud, Bernard Kouchner, Jean-Pierre Lentin in particular.

It is impassioned well before the hour for all the alternative cultures, of the movement hippie to the Hip-hop with the electronic musics Techno. It makes discover with French the drawings of Robert Crumb, the rock'n'roll psychedelic, but also rep. With Actuel, it accompanies as of their beginnings by the completely hidden or repressed social movements: recognition of homosexual, antiracism, ecology, Women's Liberation, right to the abortion, sexual release, pornography.

It founds Radio Nova in 1981, and the radio becomes a fish pond of talents such Philippe Vandel, Edouard Baer, Ariel Wizman, Jamel Debbouze or even Tariq Krim.

When Actuel stops, it creates urban Parisian monthly magazine Nova Mag which it stops in 2004. Meanwhile, it takes again TSF, “the radio operator jazz”, with Frank Ténot.

He died of the continuations of a cancer the September 8th 2007 at the 63 years age. This disease from which he had suffered for several years, he made a book of it: One Moment of weakness , in 2003. The Minister for the Culture, Christine Albanel, paid homage to this “pioneer of the alternative cultures, curious about all” and Bernard Kouchner greets a " formidable companion of aventures" and a " clearer which knew to marry contours of sound rêve".
