Jean-François-Simon de Hercé

Jean-François Simon of Hercé , born in 1743 with Mayenne, died with Bath (England) on March 6th 1796, French soldier and politician, of a family of old nobility of the Maine.

Biography

He is the son of Jean de Hercé and Francoise Tanquerel , and the brother in particular of Urbain-Rene de Hercé, bishop of Dol.

He enters the Navy in 1759, and leaves the service in 1775 with the rank of lieutenant and the Croix of Saint-Louis.

He marries in 1775 Jeanne Dubois of Bas-Maignée &. He will be the parents of:

At the provincial assembly of the Maine in 1789, it is with the head of a " office in charge of the drafting of the order judiciaire" . Elected official Appointed with the General states, it sits on the right and speaks only within the committees.

It still lends oath to the Constitution after the return of the king of Varennes in June 1791, then returns to Mayenne, emigrates, is useful in the body of the marine-infantry, withdraws in Holland after the countryside of 1792. It then will find his brothers and his/her oldest son with Jersey, passes in England to take water of Bath, and dies there on March 6th 1796.
