Jean-Emile Sanchez

Jean-Emile Sanchez , of her complete name Jean-Emile Sanchez-Mateo was spokesperson of the Peasant confederation of April 2004 in June 2005.

Born the February 4th 1957 with Villeneuve-saint-Georges, family of Spanish origin, Jean-Emile Sanchez-Mateo is stockbreeder of ewe on the plate of the Larzac.

After a stay in the the Valley-of-Marne and a formation acquired in a Agricultural college of the Paris region, he exerts the trade of shepherd in the the Alps and the Massif Central.
Fondator of the Trade union of the Peasant-Workers of the Herault in 1982 - 1983, it settled with the Larzac in 1984, where it had already work in 1982. Former member of the anarchistic Federation, it is always defined as “Libertaire”. Founder, in 1986, of a rural rock group, Taxus Baccata .

Its trade-union activity led it many once in front of justice. In June 2000, it was one of the 9 judged militants with Millau to have taken part in a nonviolent action against the Mac Donald of this city to protest against the decision of the OMC which penalized exports of the cheese roquefort. June 27th, 2006, he was condemned by the Court of Appeal of Orleans at 2 months of imprisonment and 48 others " Mowing volunteers " in two months of suspended sentence, to have taken part in mowings on morsels of corn transgenic of Monsanto in 2004 and 2005, in the Loiret. December 9th, 2005, the reapers all had been released by the magistrates' court of Orleans, in the name of " the state of nécessité" of their action. The parquet floor and Monsanto had appealed.
