Jean-Daniel Nicoud
Jean-Daniel Nicoud is a data processing specialist Suisse, inventor of the optical first mouse and language CALM Common Assembly Language for Microprocessors .
It obtains a diploma in Physique with the federal Polytechnic school of Lausanne (FPSL) in 1963. Towards 1965, it is interested in the logical systems and obtains a doctorate in 1970. In 1973, he becomes professor.
Its laboratory, the Laboratory of Microprocessing (LAMI), develops the Personal computer Smaky. It takes its retirement in August 2000 but continues its activities in its privately held company, DIDEL, specialized in the miniaturization and the reduced model optimization of of planes. The Robot mobile Khepera was also developed with the LAMI.
