Jean-Claude Hocquet

Jean-Claude Hocquet (born in 1936), Historian French, specialist in the the Middle Ages.

Incorporated history, Jean-Claude Hocquet quickly asserted himself as specialist in the salt and Venice at the time medieval. He supported a thesis besides on the salt and the fortune of Venice (Paris IV, 1975). He was thereafter professor at the universities of Venice and Lille III, research director at the university of Lille then to CNRS (1988).

Jean-Claude Hocquet is today research director highly skilled of the university of Lille III. He took part as a historical adviser in the great exposure presented by the Institut of the Arab world on Venice and the sea (October 2006 - April 2007).
