Jean-Claude Decaux
Jean-Claude Decaux is a French industrialist born on September 15th, 1937 in Beauvais. He is the founder of the company JCDecaux, industry group specialized in the manufacture and the installation of urban furniture (in particular the Abribus) and in urban publicity.
JC Decaux had the idea to offer to the communes of the shelters of bus free in exchange of advertisements. These shelters being very quickly shown a profit, the propagation of the bus shelters was fast and very profitable for its company.
