Jean-Bonnaventure Thierry de Gages
The count Jean-Bonnaventure Thierry de Gages , was born with Mons in 1682 and died in Pampelune in 1753.
Lieutenant with the creation of the regiment of the Walloon Guards, it took part in many battles of which the forwarding of Africa and the conquest of Oran. Commander-in-chief of the Spanish armies during the campaigns of Italy (1742 - 1746), it was named on this last date viceroy of Navarre.
