Jean-Baptiste van Loo

Jean-Baptiste van Loo (Aix-en-Provence, 1684 - Aix-en-Provence, 1745) is a painter French of Dutch origin .

He passes the essence of his youth to Toulon where he is initiated with the Peinture by his father, Abraham Louis van Loo. It Marie in 1706 with Miss Lebrun. During the invasion of Toulon by the Duke of Savoy, van Loo emigrates towards its birthplace, where it carries out a sumptuous painted ceiling with the Pavillon of Lenfant, entitled Triumph of the gods .
