Jean Baptist Thorn , born the March 17th 1783 with Remich (Grand Duchy of Luxembourg) and deceased the March 23rd 1841 with Mons (Belgium), member of the National congress (1830), first governor of the Luxembourg of independent Belgium (1830 - 1834), second governor of the Hainaut of independent Belgium (1834 - 1841) and a partisan at the time of the Belgian Revolution.
