Jean-Baptiste Pierre Carries out , born the December 29th 1785 with Agen (Lot-et-Garonne), general French.
He entered to the service the 59e half-brigade in 1804, like private, passed by all the lower ranks, and was named second lieutenant and knight of the Légion of honor in 1806, for his control with the catch of the Pont of Guntzbourg.
He took share with the battles of Ulm, from Iéna, Eylau, Friedland, passed in Spain, was wounded with the businesses of Rubierca (1808) and of the Arapyles (1812), raised with the rank of major; he was distinguished again at the day from Vittoria, and later with Arcis-on-Paddle when it ordered a battalion of the 118e regiment.
Put in non-activity with half-pay in 1814, Mr. Menne was employed, during the Hundred Days, like assistant of the staff, in the 14th military division (with Caen).
To the Second Restoration it was given in half-pay: in 1827, it was called with the command of a battalion of the 3rd regiment of infantry of line, then 30e of line in August 1830, and few days after it was named lieutenant-colonel of 19th light infantry. He made the Campagne of 1830 with Algiers, did that of Belgium in 1831, was named colonel of 2nd of light infantry, turned over in Africa in 1835, there made five successive campaigns and was characterized by his high bravery.
Mr. Menne, Officer of the Legion of Honor in 1815, and commander in 1836. The Restoration had done it Chevalier of Saint-Louis in 1828.
The August 27th 1839, it was promoted with the Brigadier general rank of .
