Jean-Baptiste Laviolette

Jean-Baptiste “Jack” Laviolette (born the July 27th 1879 with Belleville in the province of the Ontario - deceased the January 10th 1960) made party of the founders of the Canadian of Montreal in company of John Ambrose O' Brien.

Biography

Laviolette followed its family to Valleyfield to the twelve years age when it has receipt its passion for the Hockey with his large friend Didier Pitre. Laviolette is also at the same time member of the executive of the National association of Hockey (ANH) in addition to being Managing director, captain, Entraîneur and defender of the Canadian. He is the creator, at the request of O' Brien, of a trained team of hockey players French and makes sign players like Edouard Lalonde and Georges Vézina.

He gains the Coupe Stanley in 1916 with the Canadians

He is the only member of the history of the Canadian to have occupied as many functions at the same time. He was the trainer of the team the day of the creation of LNH.

During its single season on the skating rinks of the LNH, it registers in 18 matches 2 goals.
