Jean-Baptiste Guenepin
Jean-Baptiste Jean François Guenepin , born with Noli in Italy the July 25th 1807 and deceased in Paris the January 4th 1888, is a Architecte French wire of a French soldier, Joseph François Clair Guenepin (1781-1845) and of Italian, Maria Rosa Guidi (1783-1832). Married with Estelle Choquet (1812-1875) and small cousin of Auguste Guenepin, he exerted in Paris and the surroundings.
Biography
- in 1826, it is allowed in second class of the royal school of the Art schools, section of architecture.
- in 1837, it gains the Grand Prix of Rome d' Architecture.
- of 1838 with 1842, it remains in Rome, as a boarder of the Villa Médicis, then directed by Dominique Ingres.
- in 1843, it receives the order of chevalier of the Legion of Honor.
- Architect voyer of the town of Paris, free professor of architecture, member of the jury of the school of the Art schools.
