Jean-Baptiste Giraud is a Sculpteur French born with Aix-en-Provence in 1752, died in the Birches in Seine-et-Marne, (Commune of Fontenailles?) in 1830.

By a heritage of a fortunate uncle, this artist was freed from very forced material. he spent thus eight years in Italy to study the Antique. He stated only to the Living room of 1789 and bought a hotel 3, Place Vendôme in Paris, there, in his residence, he installed a Musée mouldings whose entry was free for the artists.

Its piece of reception to the royal Academy of Peinure and Sculptures, wounded Achille is preserved at the Musée Granet with Aix-en-Provence.
