Jean-Alexis Jaubert
Jean-Alexis Jaubert is a French politician born on December 1st, 1879 with Larche (Corrèze) and died on October 9th, 1961 in the same commune.
Biography
Agricultural engineer of profession, Jean-Alexis Jaubert adheres to the Radical party and becomes mayor of his commune in 1912, then general adviser the following year. In 1924/1925, he is principal private secretary of Henri Queuille, then Minister for Agriculture, radical elected official of Corrèze him too.Jaubert elected is appointed in 1928, then re-elected in 1932 and 1936. It belongs to the Committee on Agriculture, with that of the general, local and communal Administration, like with that of the Mines. It deploys a great activity with the House of Commons, by its many interventions and its deposits of amendments. It mainly sticks to defend agriculture, by extending the social legislation and the town electrification, but as workers, by asking as be developed the cheap Dwellings (HBM) and that the insurance unemployment becomes more generous. During legislature 1936/1940, the Jaubert deputy belongs to the special subcommittee charged to examine the social bills and to the committee of supply. He is rapporteur of the finance bill (Agriculture chapter) in 1937 and 1938.
Jean-Alexis Jaubert is under-secretary of State to three recoveries, but during little time each time. He takes part thus in the government of Joseph Paul-Boncour as under-secretary of State to Agriculture. The cabinet, formed in December 1932, is reversed in January 1933. Jaubert is then under-secretary of State to Finances in the Daladier cabinet, formed on February 4th, 1934, and which resigns the 9, following the riots. He is finally under-secretary of State to Public works from January in March 1938.
