The toponym Jasses appears in the forms Jaces and Iaçes (1193, cartulaire of Sauvelade) and Feels Bertomiu de Iasses (1388, notaries of Navarrenx).
History
Paul Raymond note that in 1385, Jasses counted 22 fires and depended on the Bailliage of Navarrenx.The Baronnie of Jasses, going back to 1644, depended on the Viscount of Béarn and included/understood Araujuzon, Araux, Jasses, Montfort and Viellenave.
