Jasper Johns, Jr. , born the May 15th 1930 with Augusta, Georgia, the United States, is a painter and American draftsman. It is with Rauschenberg at the origin of the Pop art. It paints whole series representing of the flags, the figures or the targets on fabric. Thereafter, it takes for subject of the objects of the daily life, ustensils, covers or cans, treated like spare parts which it integrates into its work.
Johns studies with the Université of South Carolina of 1947 with 1948, considering its talent, its professors encourage it to go to New York. It goes there and briefly studies with the Parsons School off Design in 1949.
