Jason Newsted
Jason Newsted is a bass player of rock'n'roll.
It born on March 4th, 1963 in Battle Creek in the Michigan, and grows in Niles. Being fan of the bass player of KIS, it was tested with the 4 cords before giving up it. A few years later, it accepted low and went back to the instrument. After the accidental death of Cliff Burton, Metallica was put in the search of new a Bassiste. Newsted, which made then party of the group Flotsam and Jetsam, learned how all their repertory in a few days in the hope to become the bass player of its preferred group.
Jason and Metallica:
It recorded Garage Days Re-Revisited (limited edition),… And Justice For All, Metallica (Black Album), Load, ReLoad, Garage Inc. and great concert S&M with the orchestra symphonic of San Francisco. When it left Metallica, it took seat within the Quebec group Voivod
In 2001, it left the group and was replaced by Bob Rock initially (to record the album St Anger ) then by Robert Trujillo.
Before joining the Québécois group Voivod in 2002, it created a group named " Echobrain" who had a fulgurating success but in short. It is also noted that when Robert Trujillo was engaged by Metallica, Newsted was engaged by Ozzy Osbourne. Jason and Voivod:
