Jason Molina

Jason Molina is an American singer, originating in Lorain in the Ohio. It was initially made known, in the years 1990, with the group Songs: Ohia , in which he only sang or with a group of musicians whose composition was not fixed. Since 2003, it records either under its name, or with stable group musicians, under the name of Magnolia Electric Co. .

Career

Jason Molina was born in Lorain in Ohio. After having played of low in various groups heavy metal in the area of Cleveland, Molina taken the decision to start a career in solo, using names of groups and recruiting musicians according to the various particular projects which he undertook. It autoproduisit under various name ( Alban , Songs: Radix , Songs: Unitas ) and distributed itself at the time of concerts.

Songs: Ohia (1996-2003)

In 1996, Molina takes the name of Songs: Ohia to set up a group, whose musicians will not cease changing - Molina being the only stable member and type-setter of the group. The critics, just like the fans, had the greatest difficulty in classify the changing style of the group and allotted to him that of indie rock'n'roll, lo-fi, folk or of alt-country.
