Jason Arnott

Jason William Arnott (born the October 11th 1974 with Collingwood in the Ontario) is a professional player of Hockey.

Career in club

Jason Arnott begins its career of junior in 1991 - 92 while playing for the Generals d' Oshawa in the Ontario Hockey League . Two seasons later, it is selected during the fishing out of entry in the National league of hockey by the Oilers d' Edmonton as a 7th choice in first round.

At the time of its first season, it registers 68 points and finishes second for the Trophée Calder for the recruit of the year. It finishes behind its future coéquipir, Martin Brodeur. The January 4th 1998, Arnott joined the Devils of the New Jersey in company of Bryan Muir and in return of Valeri Zelepukin and Bill Guerin.

On the same line as Patrik Eliáš and Petr Sýkora, Arnot arrives in 2000 at the Coupe Stanley. It registers the goal of the victory at the time of the 6th match of the finale against the Stars of Dallas (in second prolongation).

March 19th 2002, it joined the Stars with Randy McKay against Joe Nieuwendyk and Jamie Langenbrunner. During the Season LNH 2005-06, it knows its best season with 23 goals and 76 points.

The July 2nd 2006, it signs with the Predators of Nashville a contract of 22,5 million Dollars.

  • 1997 : he plays the 47 {{E}} match of the Stars of the LNH.
  • 2000 : Cut Stanley with Devils of the New Jersey.

International career

It represents the Canada at the time of the championship of the world 1994. The team gains the gold medal then. Two years later, at the time of the World cup of hockey 1996, it is put on the list of reservist of the team.
