Jaroslav Seifert

Jaroslav Seifert (September 23rd 1901 - January 10th 1986) is a writer, Poète and Czech Journaliste. Nobel Prize of literature in 1984.

Its first collection of poems is published in 1921. It enters to the Czechoslovakian Communist party and publishes several communist newspapers - Rovnost , Srsatec and Reflektor . During the years 1920, he is regarded as a leader of the avant-garde of Czechoslovakia, he is inter alia founder of the artistic movement Devětsil.

In March 1929, it is excluded from the Party with six others of his/her comrades to have signed a proclamation against the tendencies Bolsheviks of the Czechoslovakian Communist party.

In 1949, it leaves journalism and starts to be devoted entirely to the literature. Its poetry is rewarded by many prices. In 1967, it is named National Artiste.

He is president of the Union of the Czechoslovakian writers of 1968 has 1970. Its standpoint not-in conformity with the désidératas of the mode pushes it has to leave this station whereas the Normalization in Czechoslovakia starts which makes following the Printemps of Prague. Its works are then published in Samizdat. He is signatory of the Charte 77.

He receives the Nobel Prize of literature in 1984 and died two years later, in 1986.
