Japan Expo
Japan Expo is a festival French on the Japan, which is held in Paris every year at the beginning of July, over one three days period (traditionally Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
Presentation
Japan Expo is a French living room having for topic the Japanese and Asian culture. It is about a cultural event devoted to the Manga S, video games, Anime S, but also martial arts, mode, Jpop, Jrock, Cinéma, traditions and cultures, young various artists, etcIt is in 2002 that Japan Expo becomes a living room of great scale, by settling in the hall of exposure of CNIT of Defense to Paris. Until 2004 included, the festival is held at this place and the multitude increases appreciably year by year. The CNIT having become too small to accommodate the festival, the organization decided to settle in Paris-North Villepinte and to triple the surface of the living room. The challenge being of size, it is only in 2006 that Japan Expo returned, after one year of silence.
In 2006, the seventh edition (" seventh impact"), took thus place with the Park of Exposures of Villepinte Paris-North, and accommodated nearly 56000 visitors. The following year, the organizers doubled their efforts to organize a living room even larger, but in only one year, where the edition of 2006 had taken two years of adaptation and reorganization.
Success was more than ever to go, since it is nearly 81000 visitors who answered present at the festivities; quantify certified by the Institut Infora ( Certification of the Trade events ).
New festivals
In 2007, at the time of the press conference of Japan Expo 8 for July, the organization revealed two new festivals in preparation:
- Chibi Japan Expo : minis Japan Expo
- Kultima: a very new living room on the " Culture of Imaginaire" Anglo-Saxon (Fantasy, Science fiction, Superman, American television series, etc)
The characteristic of these two festivals is that they are organized at the same time, in the same hall of exposure. Always in Villepinte Paris-North, it is Hall 4, on close to 20.000m ², which acceuilla Chibi Japan Expo and Kultima.
The Japanese guests of this mini-edition were Masami Suda (Character designer of Ken the survivor) and Tensai Okamura (realizer of the series Wolf' S Rain, Darker than black, and which also took part in Cowboy Bebop, Memories, Evangelion, or Full Metal Panic grass!).
The Western guests, for the section Kultima, are authors of the editors Bragelonne, Sun Productions, Glénat, With the Devil Vauvert or Ankama.
