The most important gathering and more symbolic system proceeded with Washington. the demonstrators were more 50  000 people, according to AFP and until 500  000, according to the organizers. The speakers, whose black leader Jesse Jackson and the actress Jessica Lange, denounced the Militarisme American administration and his will supposed to control the Pétrole irakien.
In Europe, the mobilization was weak, except in France, where several tens of thousands of people - close to 200  000, according to the organizers - expressed in Paris and in the main cities of the country, with the call of a coordination gathering forty organizations, associations, trade unions and left parties. Pacifist movements, left-wing political parties, trade unions, associations Alter-universalization and of Défense of the human rights denounced “ a war presented like inescapable ”. “ War with misery, not with the Iraqis ” or “ universalization against the war ”, stressed demonstrators. Other processions were to take place Sunday, in particular in Belgium and Espagne.
