Janneyrias

Janneyrias is a common French, located in the department of the Isere and the area the Rhone-Alps.

Geography

History

In 1430, during the War One hundred Year old, the battle known as " was held; battle of anthon" on the territory of the current commune of Janneyrias. During this battle, the allied Burgundian army with the duke of Savoy and the kingdom of France clashed for the possession of the Dauphine one. The Burgundian ones lost the battle, and the duke of Burgundy flees by recrossing the Rhone with Anthon. The Dauphine one passed consequently under the domination of the kingdom of France.

Personalities related to the commune

  • Mr. Bayle:

Born on May 23rd, 1877 with Montbrison, Mr. Joannes Bayle was mayor of the village in the Thirties.

He took again the factory of Sparterie of Janneyrias on January 1st, 1919 and will make it possible the village to maintain his industrial activity.

The resumption of this factory will be the cause of the installation of the telephone (and thus of the creation of the post office), of gas for domestic use, of an electric transformer, " all-with-l'égout" (to prevent that the odors of the dyeing of the factory and the Abattoir S neighbors are not spread in the village). It also made replace the Brancard by true a Corbillard with horses.

The factory will close its doors in 1955 and will be sold in the Sixties to a nephew of Mr. Berliet for the manufacture of tails of Casserole S in ebonite. Then, she will be employed again with various activities, of which the manufacture of packing of luxury and the industrial repair of Imprimante S. The buildings are intended today for the hiring of storage space.

Mr. Bayle is deceased on May 27th, 1962 with Lyon, 14 rue St Maurice.
