Janet Fraiser is a character of the universe of fiction of the Televised series Stargate SG-1, interpreted by the actress Teryl Rothery.
Janet Fraiser is the medical officer as a chief of the infirmary of the SGC. It carries out several tasks such as checking the health condition of the members of the teams and the personnel of the SGC, analyzing the medical technological news collected by teams SG and to manufacture remedies and antidotes against the diseases and biological threats met on the planets Extraterrestres.
It takes part some times in the missions of help or missions in scientific matter. Janet is the adoptive mother of Cassandra, the only surviving one of the attack of Nirrty on the Hanka planet. Janet Fraiser dies on mission whereas it carried assistance to a soldier of the SGC which had been wounded with the combat in the episode Héros - 2nd part. It is replaced at the time of the ninth season by Carolyn Lam (played by Lexa Doig).
