Janet Simpson
Janet Simpson , born the September 2nd 1944, is old a British Athlète .
Lillian Board gained the bronze medal out of relay 4 X 100 m with the Olympic Games of summer of 1964 with its compatriots Mary Rand, Daphne Arden and Dorothy Hyman. She thus imitated her mother Violet Webb who had also gained bronze in the same event with the Olympic Games of summer of 1932.
With the Olympic Games of summer of 1968, it finished fourth on 400 m, missing bronze for 22 hundredths.
It was also member of the British relay champion of Europe on the 4 X.400 m in 1969 with Athens. On this occasion, it ran the third relay, while being fastest of its team (53" 1) and taking fifteen meters with the French Eliane Jacq. Other members of this relay, which established new world records into 3 ' 30" 82, were Rosemary Stirling, Pat Lowe and Lillian Board.
It withdrew athletics in 1969 but returned to help the British relay to be classified fifth on 4 X.400 m with the Olympic Games of summer of 1972.
She married with the athlete Suisse Philippe Clerc, champion of Europe of the 200 m in 1969 with Athens
