Janet Lynn Kavandi is an American astronaut born the July 17th 1959, veteran of three missions on board the Space shuttle.

Biography

Kavandi is graduate of chemistry. She worked for Boeing during the Eighties on projects of defense.

Flights carried out

She was selected like candidate astronaut in 1994 and flew on board STS-91 in 1998 as a specialist on mission, and then on STS-99 in 2000.
She worked on the systems of robot manipulator for the shuttle and the International space station and belonged to the mission STS-104, a flight of ISS.
