The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (Liberation popular front) is a Marxist party with the Sri Lanka. In 2004 this political party was combined with the president Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga in order to form a government.

In 2005, after the tsunami, it is opposed firmly to the creation of a mechanism united between the freedom fighters tamouls ( LTTE ) and the State srilankais in order to distribute the international assistance.
