Jan van der Waart

Johannes (Jan) Nicolaas van der Waart is a type-setter, Leader and musicothérapeute Dutch born with $the Hague the November 5th 1914.

Biography

Van der Waart makes studies of Violoncelle, Basson and composition to the royal academy of $the Hague. At twenty-two years, it is named bassoon soloist of the Philharmonic orchestra of Rotterdam.

It starts to direct orchestras at the time of the May-week-concerts of the King' S College of Cambridge. In 1963, it takes the head of the Zuid-Hollands orkest then directs the Noordhollands Philharmonisch Orkest , the Overijssels Philharmonisch Orkest and the Brabants Orkest .

As musicothérapeute, he works during sixteen years in psychiatric institutes.

He wrote parts for horn (with and without orchestra), of the film musics, the parts for orchestra and harmony.
