Jean Sarius Zamoyski (1541 - 1605) was a large chancellor of Poland under Etienne Bathory.

It had been one of the ambassadors who carried to the duke of Anjou (the future Henri III), the act of his election to the throne of Poland in 1573. After the departure of the duke of Anjou, it made elect Etienne Bathory: it ordered the armies, beat the Russians and took again various provinces to them.

He refused the crown for itself in 1587 and made it give to Sigismond III. It founded Zamosk in 1588.
